Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat with Janet MacLeod March 2009

From Thursday, March 19th to Sunday, March 22nd, we are delighted to welcome back esteemed senior Iyenger instructor, Janet MacLeod for "Find the Repose in the Pose" an extended weekend Vernal Equinox Yoga Retreat.  (jmacleodyoga.com)

‘Find the Repose in the Pose”. This quote from Prashant , the son of B.K.S. Iyengar, informs us of the importance of finding balance in our approach to the Asanas. It is based on the Patanjali Yoga Sutras 11.46- Sthira-Sukham Asanam -The posture should be firm and comfortable. B.K.S. Iyengar, states that we should evolve to a meditative state in each and every posture, not just a seated posture.

Janet will work with the concepts of steadiness and receptivity allowing participants to experience a meditative state in the postures.

The serene atmosphere at Highland Ranch offers an ideal setting for this internal approach to the Yoga Asanas.
